Preconstruction Process

There are several stages in a construction process. The process and time duration will vary depending on the scope of the project.

SURVEY:

To begin any type of construction, survey team mark out points of interest and condition of soil on the site. They also analyze the infrastructure, access of road and identify any hazards on the site.
The key measurement are then used by architects and engineers to understand and make the most of the terrain while designing; keeping in mind design requirements and construction feasibility.

SITE CLEARANCE

Site clearance is the removal of all accumulated waste from an area to ensure that it’s free from any hazards, obstacles or unsightly mess before preparing the land for its desired use.

The main purpose of site clearance is to clear the land of any existing buildings, debris or waste. It also involves clearing the surface layer of topsoil, which is necessary to remove as it cannot be built on. It can also contain chemicals within the topsoil leading to plant growth, which could affect new structures over time.

Site clearance involves:
- Mowing or removing vegetation and trees.
- Removing debris, rocks and other obstacles.
- Levelling ground.
- Removing hazardous chemicals.
